From 2025 to 2026, the booming new energy vehicle and motorcycle industry drives air compressor development toward oil-free, low-noise, high-efficiency and lightweight directions. The oil-free scroll air compressor has become a mainstream product.
Different from traditional piston compressors which produce loud noise and oil contamination, scroll compressors generate compressed air via the movement of scroll plates. The oil-free structure provides clean air, perfectly meeting the requirements of battery thermal management and air suspension systems for new energy vehicles.
Tests show its running noise drops to 65 dB(A), 20% lower than traditional models. It achieves over 30% energy saving and a 12%–15% rise in compression efficiency. Weighing less than 35 kg, the lightweight design reduces chassis load and helps extend driving range. Many manufacturers have launched mass-produced models, and the annual installation volume on new energy commercial vehicles surpassed 2 million sets in 2025.
